Known as the City on the Maas, Rotterdam is a typical port city. But it is also a city of migrants. For centuries, people have been coming here from all corners of the world: sometimes to stay for a short period, sometimes to stay for good. This has led to a huge diversity of languages, music and food traditions in Rotterdam. Thanks to this diversity, you can now take a culinary trip around the world in Rotterdam. Here, the whole world comes together. This walk was put together by Jonneke de Zeeuw, who you may know as Mooncake. Jonneke is always looking for the best places to find food and writes and talks about them so enthusiastically that it makes your mouth water.
