Rotterdam is very old, but has the look of a modern city. This has everything to do with the bombardment of 14 May 1940, which destroyed the heart of Rotterdam. After the Second World War, the city was reconstructed and transformed into a new city with a new future. It changed from a barren plain into a bustling metropolis. For this walk, Loes takes you to places that are important to her. Loes grew up in the 50s and 60s, when Rotterdam was being reconstructed. As she became an adult, the city changed too: Loes and Rotterdam grew up together.
