Anyone walking through Rotterdam’s port sees a city that is constantly changing. Paul Signac saw it too, when he stayed at Hotel Victoria here in 1906. “From my window! What activity! I’m enthusiastic, but bewildered,” he wrote on a postcard. A year later he painted Le Port de Rotterdam.
For the exhibition Signac. Symphony of Colours at Kunsthal Rotterdam (24 October 2026 to 28 February 2027), we developed a walk together with the Kunsthal that shows you Rotterdam as Signac saw the city. You start at Tramhuis and walk about 5 kilometres, in an hour and a half, past the Kunsthal and other places in the city. A perfect complement to your visit to the exhibition.
The walk with map is available free of charge from 24 October at our kiosk and at the Kunsthal.
